Then you continue via the Herrengasse with all its famous "Palais" to the Kohlmarkt, Austria's most exclusive shopping street. From there you continue via Graben to K”rntnerstrasse . The W”hringer G¸rtel is very close. In the arches underneath the elevated train are a lot of interesting places that contrast with the so-called established bars in the centre. For gourmets we like to recommend the "Bordeaux" (as the name says a French place) in the Servitengasse. The author's absolute favourite place is "Stomach" in Seegasse (phone: 1-31 02 099), a traditionally decorated restaurant with excellent traditional and yet modern cuisine - it is also located near the hotel (only open WE-SU). The perfect end of a busy day: have a cool drink in Joe's Bar. Try Caipirinha and Bourbon in the distinguished atmosphere of the hotel's bar.
